Urban Coast Renovations is a full service construction firm.  While specializing in residential renovations, we also do commercial projects and project management consulting for new builds.

Dave Ritchie
Dipl.T, B.Eng, RRP

Dave holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma of Technology in Mechanical Design.   He also has  taken many courses in the Building Industry including Home & Property Inspection, Building Code, and is a Registered Renovation Professional with the CHBA (Canadian Home Builders' Association).





Dave has eleven years experience in all types of residential renovations, including additions, kitchens & bathrooms, multi-media rooms, wine cellars, fitness rooms, garages, full home renovations and large additions.  He has a solid understanding of all the trades and the steps that go into to managing all sizes and types of renovation projects.  



 

While working for a previous employer as one of two Project Managers, the company was recognized as Renovator of the Year three times.  In addition, Dave Ritchie's projects were recognized with the following Georgie Awards:

Dave also worked for Kobayashi + Zedda Architects in Whitehorse.  His role there as a design technician helped him develop a keen awareness of the importance of coordinating all aspects of the design with each trade.  At KZA, Dave had a role in helping them garner accolades in winning these awards:

Upon his return to Vancouver, Dave worked worked as a Design Technician for John Currie Architect to assist them with John's final project before his retirement.  That project was the Lookout Aid Society's, Yukon Transitional Housing Centre in Vancouver, BC.  This location provides 37 transitional housing units.
